Welcome!
New to BitVector? Welcome! Our mission objective here at BitVector is to make it easy for anyone to get started with Generative AI!
We do this by building apps for our inference provider, Graydient - they are the ones who run the GPUs that generate the content you create.
Your content follows you!
No matter which BitVector app you use, your generated content is always available. Feel free to build and iterate upon it in any of our tools!
As such, using BitVector's tools requires that you have a paid plan through them, and that is the only real requirement. BitVector itself doesn't have any sort of paid plans, so it comes at no extra cost to you.
Here are the tools that we offer you:
Prism Recommended
Prism is our recommended tool for getting started with using Generative AI! It is a chat based application, in which you join Vector who acts as BitVector's AI persona.
Prism being a web application means that you can use it on anything that has a web browser - that could be your phone, a PC, or even something like a VR headset!
The premise is simple, tell Vector what you'd like to see, and Vector will do the heavy lifting of bringing your idea to life.
If Vector doesn't quite get it right, just tell Vector, and he'll adjust his tactics.
Instead of needing to know about models, workflows, parameters, prompt building, etc - Vector will try to find the right settings for you and build an accompanying prompt.
Even if you're an advanced user, Prism is still fantastic for just focusing on what you want to see (or hear, in the case of music!) so that you can switch off your brain for a bit, kick back, and relax.
Whether you've never even heard of a "model", or interact with them every day, Vector is happy to help you! Click here to jump right in, or if you want to read up further on Prism, see our docs over here.
Note that most of the docs under the "General Docs" section are for Spyglass and Discord, because in Prism it really is quite simple as "just ask Vector". We're working on expanding Prism's docs, but if you're a fan of reading neat tricks, we have a page here that Vector wrote up in which he explains some of these!
Spyglass & Discord
Spyglass & Discord tend to be more "manually" driven, they still have access to Graydient's skills system which offers some automatic assistance, but not quite as automatic as Prism does.
We recommend having a look at the pages in the "General Docs" section for some primer notes on getting started with these tools.
Spyglass
Spyglass, like Prism, is a web based application, you can access it from any device with a web browser. It also acts as a visual catalog to all of Graydient's models, workflows, and skills - great for keeping up with what's new!
Discord
We also have a Discord bot! Our Discord bot's name is also Vector, but its important to note that this "version" of Vector is not automatically driven (and instead is driven by you via commands).
(Technically, our Discord bot used the name "Vector" first, then Prism came along and Vector popped in but driven by an actual AI!)
"Vector" represents BitVector's canonical persona and avatar, we believe that even simple Discord bots should have a friendly appearance, instead of just using a generic name like "BitVector Bot".
Perhaps one day we can bring a fully driven AI to Vector in Discord too, but that is not a simple process and would effectively be an entirely new project.
Using Vector in Discord is a great way to show off Generative AI with friends! You can even bring Vector into your own Discord server, though note that for others in the server to use it, they'll need to have their own paid Graydient plan.
Beacon Advanced!
Are you fancy enough to have your own AI agent? Beacon acts as a bridge between BitVector/Graydient and your Agent! It is an MCP server, and slots into any Agent/Harness that accepts MCP servers.
Hermes & OpenClaw are fantastic examples of these, or even Codex/Claude Code.
Effectively, it turns your Agent into your own version of Prism - point it at the Beacon page, and it can typically either install it automatically, or provide more-specific instructions on how to do so.
(Each "Harness" is different, so we can't really offer universal instructions)
Note that unlike Prism, you need to bring your own LLM to the table - BitVector does not provide an LLM for usage outside of Prism.
